As we head into the Labor Day weekend, I hope your family has an opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy some time together. Please remember that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 7! We’ve got exciting things happening this month, starting with our PTO’s Fun(d) Run! During this two-week fundraiser, our Rockets will earn some fun rewards and get ready for the big event on Friday, September 18. Save the date! Families are invited to join us for the run and cheer on our Rockets. Race times and additional details will be coming soon. Want to learn more about how PTO funds are raised and spent? Join us for the first PTO General Meeting of the year on Thursday, September 10 from 6:30–7:30 p.m.
A reminder that ALL MASP/LEEP classes and MANY teacher-led after-school clubs and activities begin the week of September 14. This means it is time to update PikMyKid!
Select “AFTER SCHOOL” as the pickup mode.
For LEEP/MASP programs, select “LEEP/MASP” from the Program menu.
For clubs and activities led by Mary Lin staff, select “Teacher-Led Clubs & Activities.”
Set the change to Repeat Weekly through the week of December 7, 2026, if appropriate for your child’s program.
Please make these updates well in advance! If PikMyKid has not been updated, your child will be sent home using their regular/default dismissal method for that day.
We’ve got our first of two Early Release days coming up soon. On Monday, September 21, students will be dismissed at 11:15 am. This is significantly earlier than our regular dismissal time, so families should begin planning now for transportation and childcare, as there will be NO iKids or LEEP classes on that date. Please make sure your child’s PikMyKid dismissal plan is updated to reflect how they will be getting home that day. Need afternoon childcare? Atlanta ContactPoint will offer an Early Release Sports Camp at Candler Park and will pick participating students up directly from Mary Lin. For additional information or to register, contact DavidE@ATLCP.org.Â
Lastly, set a reminder for Yearbook Picture Day, coming up next week on Thursday, Sept. 10! Have a great holiday weekend!
Warmly,
Ms. Denise Bringslid

Thanking the Mary Lin Community
Dear Parents,
I want to express my deepest gratitude for your immense generosity and support during our Donation Drive for the victims of the earthquake in Colombia.
I am grateful to share that all donations were delivered to the designated drop-off centers. A special thank-you to Principal Bringslid for allowing me the opportunity to lead this Donation Drive, and to our amazing community for coming together and contributing so generously. Your kindness and compassion will benefit so many families during this difficult time.
Thank you for opening your hearts and giving so generously. Your support truly makes a difference.
With a thankful heart,
Sandra Bonilla
TIME TO GET THIS FUN(d) STARTED
The Fall Fun(d) Run is our BIGGEST PTO fundraiser of the year—and we need your help to reach our $100,000 goal!
Your support makes a huge difference at Mary Lin. More than 75% of the money raised goes directly toward Educational & Instructional Training and Staff Support & Appreciation. Together, we’re funding the extras that make our school such a special place to learn and work!
Our Goal: $100,000
That’s an average of $200 per student to reach our goal. We know that amount isn’t right for every family, so give what you can—every dollar counts!
And don’t forget to share your student’s fundraising page with family and friends. Grandparents are some of our biggest supporters!
*Please register/signup and make sure to indicate child(ren)'s t-shirt size to help us determine t-shirt sizing to order for Fun(d) Run for each grade.*
