Hello from the Blue Ridge Outdoor Recreation Center in Toccoa, GA. This is a brief check-in as I am here with our 5th graders on our annual (2 night) overnight field trip. I will have more to share with you all about this adventure in next week’s Rocket Blast so stay tuned!
I hope to see all of you at Fall Fest this weekend! Please sign up for a volunteer spot in Kidlandia and enjoy the park, music and artist market.
Warmly,
Ms. Denise Bringslid
Principal, Mary Lin Elementary School
Kidlandia Needs You This Weekend!
Kidlandia returns to Candler Park Fall Fest on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, and we're getting excited for another fantastic weekend of bounce houses, games, and fun for our Mary Lin Rockets and nearby communities!
Thanks to the amazing support of our families, volunteer signups continue to grow. We still have volunteer opportunities available on both Saturday and Sunday, with our greatest need on Sunday afternoon and evening. Every volunteer helps ensure that our bounce houses and activities can stay open and running smoothly throughout the weekend.
We know the forecast is currently showing the possibility of rain this weekend. Please know that we are actively monitoring weather conditions and are staying closely aligned with plans from the broader Candler Park Fall Fest organizers.
Candler Park Fall Fest is a rain-or-shine event, and our current plan is for Kidlandia to remain open as long as Fall Fest is operating and weather conditions remain safe, including no lightning in the area.
After all, what kid doesn't love a little extra adventure? A bounce house and a raincoat might just be the perfect Fall Fest combination!
If conditions change, we will communicate any updates to families as quickly as possible.
